dean as well as the higher ups are all gone from the office this week, so you're gonna have to just wait for now because there is nothing to be done immediately. i will send an email today to the people who need to see it and show them that this is flaring up again. that's all i can do right now, but i will do it.
as far as far as being on the table, i'm on it at all times. i'm not hiding anything. my conversations with dean have been like this: chill out, don't take things so personally, don't abuse your position, take a step back and just be a part of the forum. i know he gets it, and i also know he gets heated and bummed and trips out sometimes. and i've said it in front of the bosses, too.
i understand you are unhappy, i do, and i will do my best to remedy it. please be understanding of the fact that it is not something that is in my control, but that i do have the best interests of this place in mind. i get that it is important to you guys, i get the principle of it, and so i will address it again.
for now, please chill as there is nothing more to do about it currently-- i promise i will send the email today.
no offence but this is a pretty pathetic response from an editor of a magazine, although obviously you don't edit a magazine anymore, just a website with pretty poor content about 90% of which doesn't really work.
as others have pointed out without this forum continuing to operate as it has for the last 10 years or so before you realised it might save your failed magazine and took more of an interest in it and immediately over saw its decline, no one would visit this site, unless OIAM was running, and even then they would probably go to youtube because you dont seem able to embed a video into an article properly.
anyway i want to be constructive and help you keep your job, so if as you say you have no control over Dean then all you need to do is get rid of the rep system and problem solved? you could do it right now.
