The bullet proof vest store.
The ditch on Harrison is dry.
The skatepark two blocks from the state street exit to warm up is a start.
If you need a place to crash, let me know.

Dunno if anyone knows about this QP at Clark Park. It's near the back of the BMX park, super fucking rough, you gotta set your board down then make a running start to it and I had to skate it on my friend's board since he's got 55s. Fun spot, though

If you're taking the blue line out of O'Hare, give yourself plenty of extra time to get back for your flight. Google always underestimates travel time and security is a bitch. If you're at Midway, you'll do fine with traffic, but you'll need a cab/Lyft.

amtrak so i'll jump out at union station before 10 and try to be back circa 130.
i have been at o'hare though, what a nightmare just trying to get to the smoking section!
the other one, i've been in the trainyards out there, looks like damn planes are gonna hit the houses.
thanks though, definitely wanna err on the side of being early.

Sounds like a good plan! Would love to show you around, but I'm starting a new job next week. Obviously, there are a lot of great spots to check out by Union Station (e.g. Daley, Flamingo, Millennium) and the weather should be lovely.

theres a new skatepark thats pretty rad just south of Millennium in Grant Park too, its worth checking out plus you'll miss all the kooks since its still early.

edit: shit just missed you, where did you end up skating?

i didn't. my train was running late so it was all i could do to grab a coffee and read the red eye for an hour or so. i'm gonna be back i think on the 22nd from 230-930 so if my trains are on point i might head for that park. since i've got gear to lug around that prolly suits me better than trying to street skate while keeping an eye on my stuff. anyone is into that lmk, i'd way rather meet a pal and film a trick than hover near the station way damn long.

A mellow ledge, or just a cool plaza?? I'll be here until Saturday, but I got all day Thursday to whatever I want. Plan to hit Uprise. Thank you in advance Pals!!!

Sk9ing is one more better than sk8ing.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Roberto Clemente isn't very far from Uprise. I haven't been there since they built a bunch of stuff, but I hear it's fun.

A friend is building a DIY spot in Pilsen. Right now there's just a mini ramp there, but the owner of the building is letting skaters build anything including laying down concrete. Just putting this here in case anyone would be interested in donating, reaching out to help or skating the ramp.

Anyone skating today and tomorrow? First non-rainy days above freezing in weeks. Also, do you get kicked out of the Roberto Clemente plaza spot?

I'm skating today. And I'm not sure if Clemente is a bust bc of the new principal, but they did make everyone get rid of all ramps and shit back there
