What Nike should've had done here? Just let him go and ignore the contract between Nike and Shane? Sounds like having an open doors day at NikeSB...?

Did Shane tell Nike he's going to look around for a better deal before he maybe even went sat down to discuss of one? This is why there's no bidding war of Shane? If I'd be a TM and some of the guys I've worked for did this, I'd be bummed. And this actually is a reminder that there's always real people working at every company, no matter how big and corporate they are.

Just throwing it in the air, I don't have facts or anything...

Shane wants to leave our camp for greener pastures, so we say do your thing, but that really means get a good lawyer and see you in court if you breech your measly contract. because I feel like people would rather ride for the pretty "prestigious" Nike team. And whether he gets a shoe or not obviously more money. for some reason I feel though in shanes case maybe dc just went nuts and offered like 2 or 3 pro models up front and Nike just couldn't agree to that or something. They seem to take their time with the pro models, although less so lately.
