The East India Tea Company. I would make a fortune in Spanish Doubloons bringing spices from the Orient to Europe and the New World.

Definitely Vallely Skateboards and By The Sword, skateboarding hasn't been the same without those 2 powerhouse companys setting the bar higher and higher for skateboarders.

in reality though I'd have to say Aesthetics, we need a Volume 2 to accompany Ryde or Die Vol. 1. Don't put Vol.1 on something if your never going to come thru with it. Its like always seeing "Menace Video - Coming Soon"

"We get the boosters boosting,we get computers putin, you get shot at,call me I'll do the shooting,I do the recruiting, I tutor the students, I nurture they brain, We moving the Movement!"

Deca, New Deal, and Popwar. I will have to look at an old mag from early 2000 for more companies.

DLX while still making their boards in america...

whats up with the whole made in america deal ? is USA suposed to be this amazing board making country ?  asia , europe and other places can make real good quality stuff too . not sure  Made in china or some other place means the product is crap , check your tvs , cars clothes and shoes that you like and you can see tons of examples

Id bring back almost all 90s companys , shit is so filled with good memories of me starting to skate in the mid 90s  .

neighborhood/stamina (pre-2001)

somebody give julio a cheque

no way man i was glad when i heard that neighborhood was out of business because julio treated his riders like shit and almost some ones begging for money on the street while being "PROS" and since many riders came from spain (Alfonso Fernandez, Jesus, Enrique Lorenzo, Daniel Lebron) they didnt had a work visa they went like a turist to skate and make their dream... but im so glad that that now in spain you can make a living of skateboarding since the scene grown up... in summary julio is an asshole treat their ridrers like toys

check this movie is the history of the brother of jesus  tells in his own words and silences, how he tried to make a living out of his passion for skateboarding. But accomplishing a dream is not always what you expected: struggle, disillusionment, emigration?

^ Wow... Alfon was a lengend here in Spain even before he went to the states. That video sparked so many memories, in fact Jesus in that times always stayed under his brother's shadow.

Simple and Dub
Simple still exists and they still have these things

on production but the overall image of the brand it's a little too much treehuggin'.

BTW, my resurrectted company will be:

SMA, H Street, New Deal, Blind.

If the original riders and wood aren't part of the deal, then it's pointless.

I'm surprised that Ronald & littleethnicsong haven't shown up in this tread for an academic debate on free market economies, supply & demand relationships, structure vs. agency, and the overall viability of resurrecting an extinct company.

Actually, considering the market inertia impeding the development of the contemporary commercial fascination with retrospective trends...

...psych!

Not that anyone's heard of it, but I would definitely resurrect Mother skateboards.

Alas, many skaters aren't businessmen (in fact, in some ways, "never between the two shall meet"), and despite heads being pretty far ahead on the money front, in the end, it just felt too good to hook up all of the sick deserving skaters in the Detroit area (and can't forget Windsor and Kalamazoo heads son).

101 and Menace but the Rocco mystique and the team made them great so they really wouldn't be anywhere near as good as they were.

Aesthetics, but they wouldn't be the same w/o the original team.
