t looks a lot like the Fallen Forte, and the DC Tonik. It will probably be a good shoe, but I was expecting something way different then that for some reason.

All the technology must be in the insole, we can't see from that pic.  :P

yeah it is super simple, the rep kept telling me about some super awesome "vulc, but not vulc, revolutionary something or other"
 ::)
But there were a whole bunch oh shoes at the booth that didn't have any horrible big logos on there.

I'll post a better pic as soon as I get it...my brother was at the trade show as well but right now I just have a low res version.
the picture up there pretty much sums it up though: nothing special, basically a C1rca Talon, a supportive chukka low with cupsole

So DC usually gets hate for putting out big puffy shoes with obnoxious logos but when they put out a simple shoe that looks like it'd skate decently, they get hate too?

I think people are poking fun at chris' interview on the TWS site where he says a big reason he went to DC was because all of the technology they have at their disposal, then he releases as simple of a shoe as possible

He probably didn't want to design a moon boot shoe.

Since these came out so quickly, my guess is they were meant to be just some generic Tonik 2's or something, and now they slapped Chris Cole's name on them to get the ball (of money) rolling.

Just compare the timespan to Koston's space age tech shoes.

Chris Cole never had an innovative shoe to begin with. I actually think this is better then a lot of his Fallen shoes.

Because nike never hype a shoe up for waaay too long.  It took nike so fucking long to give koston a shoe that is essentially one piece of suede with a pointless stitch on the front.

much better than his most recent fallen shoe.
