I was standing a few feet away when he flew feet first into the landing ramp at ASR years ago.  Shoulda been done for, but he just smiled it off.  Everyone was thoroughly hyped after that, myself included.

Oh shit haha so was I!! That was hella gnarly! I was right in front of the landing ramp and he did a full on face to the top of the ramp slam at full speed, think they were going for 10 ft. on that one. That was 2002, right? fuck I can't believe that's been almost 10 years ago already...I was standin next to a very young dreadhead chick, who I later realized upon watching Street Cinema, was Devine Calloway. he was so small and frail back then haha...anyways, I wish I could've talked with Harold in the Zoo booth that day cuz that was the only time I ever saw him in person and I'd have been stoked to talk with him, even for a moment, seemed like that kinda dude... but he was chillin on a 40 and had some chick massaging his neck, looked like he was hurtin so I didn't wanna bug him. Now I wish I would've, can't believe it's been 5 years already...RIP Harold

I was standing next to the take off ramp.  That is the only time I had ever seen him.  I just thought what the hell is he doing, but the brush off and the smile was cool to see.  That is what I think of every time I see his name.

Then Fabrizio kickflipped it at like 15 feet, that surprised me too.
I'm posting from my blackberry wtf?!?!?

I was at that trade show to.  I still remember him flying through the air then he went right through the grindking banner on the other ramp and disappeard for about 30 seconds then he emerged from the rubble like a super hero.

I will always remember how I was at my friends house probably 7 years ago. I havent seen that many videos back then, cause they were so hard to get.  This friend gave me a tape, and told me to watch it.. I was like, of course, and then came home and finished not watching the tape for the next 2 years because I simply forgot.. Then 5 years ago, I found the tape somewhere, so I just put it on, and next month after that, Harold died.. It was super strange feeling for me back then.  RIP, I will always respect dudes like him, 100% skateboarder.

I got a chance to chill/skate with Harold and some of the Zoo York crew back in 2004, when they were filming skate maps. Such a genuine dude. Had this persona to him that you could not help but love.

RIP Harold
I get to see Devil semi regularly and his little dude is rad as hell. My wife and I aren't into having little ones, but that'll give me more time to be a god uncle and teach Devil's spawn to slang weed.

Saw him at Coney Island High (now-defunct music venue on St. Marks) in early '97 with an entourage of groupie chicks. I was starstruck, said "What's up Harold!" and he gave me a pound.

Then in summer 2006, I saw this in the LES. It was like seein a ghost.

Definitely miss his presence in the skate world.  I'd see him in mags and videos, and of course Kids, and think "what a crazy dude, what will he do or say next?"  Skateboarding really needs more Harolds right now.

I've always wondered why Keenan Milton isn't remembered the way Harold is. I guess it was Harold's personality/lust for life that keeps him memory alive and kicking. When DVS came out with that Harold tribute shoe I was a little confused the same thing wasn't done for Keenan. DVS has Gavin, Chico, Daniel Castillo and Jeron: all Girl/Choc. I think Keenan had a much better style and trick selection than Harold. Seems like everyone forgot about Keenan. I don't get it.

Were Harold and Keenan both drug related deaths?
ol 88 died from cocaine and keenan, prolly drunk swimming? one time i was at this black bar, it's kind of a gay bar but it's all black except me and i'm dopesick [jackson, ms] and the news is on, someone drowned. i goes 'what kind of asshole drowns? the human body floats' and every person turned and stared me down. i guess the stereotype about black people can't swim is somewhat true....
