Couldn't ride my usual setup today, actually i hadn't skated for a week, cause the trucks are all fucked, the thread is off the axl, and a bearing is broken, shit sucks,

and even though the alcohol and thc hadn't completely gotten out of my system.....
weather was too good not to skate, so i just lego'd a cruiser together with these big ol soft wheels and an old Gonz/Cliche cruiser....

went to the park, which is shitty, and nobody skates it, just some lurkers and shit talkers at the miniramp.....
so after riding the mini, i decide to skate crappy flatbar which is kinked to the side (thanks some neighbourhood hooligans) and managed to bs and fs boardslide all the way through the kink, and get fs 5050 without too much trouble,
making me feel somewhat accomplished for not sucking completely after 9 years of skating.

Did a couple of flip tricks on transition today.  Feels better as I coast closer to the big 4-0.

yesterday was sick,

it was a beautifull sunny day, it was my mates birthday so we went street skating/filming between 10am and 2pm then went to the skatepark, by about 4 there were fucking loads of us, at least 40-50 people in a tiny little park it was havok but there was so much good shit bieng thrown arround it was just insane and a great vibe. i landed prety much every trick i can do (minus a couple i forgot about) and for the first time i didnt get any injuries, my board snapped literrally 5 minutes before i was gonna leave (not great that it snapped but at least it was at the end of the session)

Being able to skateboard again is the greatest.

past three days have been all flatground. skate between an hour and hour and a half just doing flatground. felt fucking great to get some tricks back

i noticed something interesting too. the first night i went i tried about 50 fs nollie flips and landed maybe 8 pretty weak. the next day i landed a clean one right out of the gate. i always do tricks better at the start of the next session than after trying it repeatedly over a whole session the day before.

i know some people go nutty skating flat by themselves. but if i have music and some solid ground i can skate flat for an hour and a half+ by myself at midnight when it's 35 degrees out. shit's just awesome.

the windyness, it was so windy that if you wanted to skate north you had to push stupidly fast to even reach the obstacle you wanna skate and if youre skating south you had no choice but to skate at busenitz speed.

also im stoked that my mate finally landed fakie front smith hardflip out on a 2-3 foot high ledge

Hell yeah!

Today was unique for me because we skated this crazy little wading pool thing way out in the woods. I hardly ever skate transition but I was so stoked to skate something new that I had a blast. Learned several tricks and was definitely feeling the whole tranny thing for once.

Funny how not being in a skatepark makes me more adventurous when it comes to stepping out of my comfort zone a little...

Waking up before the security and rain, and stealing time on spots that are usually a complete bust.  And bombing hills when its cold and your eyes start to water up while you get a little speed wobble going.  Nothing like close calls with cars while you can't see to get the adrenaline going.

nollie flip, nosegrind, frontside flip line first try

also did some little funny line which was like switch ollie to boardstall? on a ledge, popped into tail and flipped out then ollied onto boardstall on another box, nollied over to lipstall on the other side and popped out. Sounds gay but i was messing about and was surprised i did it.

also got ridiculously close to nosemanual a long foot high manual pad with a back truck bang on the way up,  harder than normal because you loose so much speed. Landed it and fell off haha.

Slowly recovering from a brutal groin injury. Being able to do some tricks that were just too painful types of movements to do for a long time. Nothing should be taken for granted.

Had a good flatground sesh as my buddy shot hoops.

Also, when I go to the store I use my board as a shopping basket.  I've never seen anyone else do it but it works great, pay then throw everything in the backpack.  Then when you walk out and throw your board down everyone stops and stares.  Though I'm not saying I particularly enjoy feeling like an outcast.
