was missioning for a trick (nollie front pop shuv down a gap) for about half an hour to an hour, finally landed and it felt all shitty. thought, "aaaaw man, should i keep trying just because it felt shit?" so i went back to try again and next try i did it fucking perfect. "thank fuck, time for a fag"

someone asked me "how the fuck do you do that?" after i did a bs bigspin on flat, i just said "dunno... like this"
i literally couldnt explain because im not even sure myself, theyre one of those tricks that seem to just fall into place for me

Yesterday felt like I could front smith anything in sight. Had them across the whole ledge, started fucking around with things out of it like front shuv and front 180 which i've done before but they felt a lot better. Went for a kickflip out which flipped but my ankle was not up to it. Today my ankle was still a little sore so I was pretty bummed skating today.

It's 14 degrees and sunny here, and I'm...sitting inside because my board is in another city, this sucks.
I'm planning on going night skating tonight though, and I really can't wait for that, I love skating at night.

took a long solo exploratory skate to a spot I had been wanting to check out for a long time. Skating something new alone is always kinda weird feeling to me, but still fun in its own way.

Landed a new trick at a skatepark that I hate, then tweaked my ankle and played skate-tag with some kids half my age (no pedo). Watched a skate dad teach his kid how to drop in, got me stoked.

Skated 45 miles with Bobby Worrest and Zach Lyons and many more. I truly feel like I can do anything now. That was the gnarliest test of our endurance

that's insane! i start pushing back and forth between regular and switch after a mile or so, i can't even imagine doing 45.
