That spot looks awesome. Lance is a rad dude. Can't wait to skate it!
LA84 seems like a cool group, hooking up this park, and they actually run a program that has allowed kids at my school to get free swimming lessons. Paul Rodriguez is rad too. He does a TON for underprivileged skaters, from helping out with different programs to funding skateparks. good dude, even with the stupid mountain dew hat.

I like his thinking behind the design of combining the earlier generation of skating with current day stuff. The park looks fun!

Hey man, then don't go skate them. You can avoid the "BEANER SKATERS" by just staying in safe, white, orange county. Also, word to the wise, potheads have pot, and sometimes you can smoke it with them if you stick around.

i was there on opening day. ; a bunch of "BEANER" 12 year olds hucking hardflips over the rail made me feel super old so i dragged myself back to the snake run/ditch part of the plaza.

It's rare to see a park designed so well. Sad the only footage of the park is of the same damn handrail.

I went Sunday and there was a clinic going down on the handrails with some globe kids. Seemed like 70% of the kids in the park were spectating so it was easy to ignore them and just cruise around the snake runs and hips.

These "spots" are much more realistic than a skatepark. I would think that is the reasoning. And no enforcement of pads and what not. This place is a thousand times better than stoner, noho, and those other plazas. Not too crowded either so far.
