i use to run up hill backwards when i was younger to build up my calves and increase my pop.
now my calves are diesel and i have pretty decent pop(like 6-7 boards high).

think about your whole body as a skateboard deck. when the entire deck is intact and rigid, you get the strongest pop. if you break a bunch of the plys but keep skating it for shits and giggles, you can't pop it as well as a lot of the force is absorbed by the busted ass deck.

similarly, you can have strong legs but if your core (abs, back) is jelly soft you will be not be getting maximum efficiency out of your leg strength.

conclusion: pilates and tae bo, bro.

step 2. skate in them for an hour
step 3. take them off

nah, it basically just makes your feet feel alot heavier, so when you take them off you feel floaty light

I wore those a few times when I skated at home when I was younger, after you take them off it was great. And it doesn't really fuck up your balance, lowers or center of gravity so it kind of makes grinds on transition easier. I only ever really skated in them on a small-ish mini ramp and a little on flat but not much.

don't use this weights they totally fuck your synovial joints up...

squats, deadlifts, box jumps, strength training, not body building.

get strong legs and strong core. though if taken seriously, adds alot of muscle/weight to legs, and more board breakage.
