kalis has been my favorite since i got my first aws deck in probably...98 or 99. his model with the dragonfly on it. this just reinforces it.
quintessential muska in there as well.
i was kinda surprised to see how much rob and josh rolled together so much back then. also how much rob did the same 5 tricks at every spot he was at.
kinda cool to see some hirata footage before that dude kooked out.
also, berras switch frontside flips into the bank were dope. so long ago....

I think that was the most influencian era for my skating. Fuck man it's while since those days now, hehee. Funny to think back in to that time.
Needless to say I really enjoyed the video.

Say what you want, but buddy looks like a million bucks here. More a wasted-potential case than anything..

Video is great in general. Definitely one of the coolest eras in skateboarding, as already stated.

edit: store sign at 5:15 says "Candy Dandies". more awesomes.

Best thing I've seen in a while! Sad to see this get less replies than a thread about a pretentious has-been flipping through a mag.

What can I even say, thank you Rob!!!

During this era of Jump off a Building, when he had those shoes and those jeans, Kerry Getz did some of the best skateboarding anyone has ever done.

Kalis was on such a high level at this point.  Doing difficult, perfectly executed tricks with lots of speed.

Very interesting to see this kind of raw footage from the era that shaped my view on skateboarding more than any other. Makes me realize how different of a perspective it offers – far more relatable and tangible. Kalis really shines in this format. I might even prefer it over his parts. More, please!

As much as I love a proper part, I have to say I would not want to miss these edits any more, no matter how epidemic they have become.

Also, this:
