I had a good chuckle when Jamie had his hand cut off then cut straight to an upbeat song in the credits.
[close]

The torrent I downloaded was fucked up at the end for some reason so it cut to that song before the credits while he was getting chopped. It was pretty bizarre to watch with that playing.

yeah, I waited for the "proper" release which means they sort out any bugs that come with the "evolve" release.

it was a bit weird no ?  they have never used modern music before have they ?
It was so out of left field that all I could do was laugh.

My favorite episode so far by a mile. I love what they did with Pod, totally deserving and hilarious. Melisandre is playing Stannis hard, and he's looking like a chump. The Blackfish is rad, and Edmure's portrayal is perfect.

I don't know, but I really like The Hold Steady's version of "The Bear and the Maiden Fair".

Jaime's look of disbelief when Vargo hacked his hand off was pretty rad.

His name's Locke in this episode. Ready for some Lost-crossover shit?

I like how they are doing Ramsay. "you little bastard"
also if you read my whole facebook timeline from back in 2007 then this will also prove that magic is real.

What? Are you seriously telling me that they have changed Vargo Hoat's name to Locke? I will kill!!

He isn't Varo Hoat though--he's in a group of Bolton men-at-arms, not a lisp-wielding Bloody Mummer, so a name change is necessary. He's close to how I pictured Vargo though.

Well, I guess that I just saw Vargo flying the banner of whomever was paying him. He does have a bit of a lisp too though.

I can't wait for "The Rains of Castamere" episode. The title tells me that it's exactly the episode I want to see.

Why do others who've read the books have to sneak one over on someone who hasn't for absolutely no reason? You didn't answer his question at all and made it appear as though Theon will die, asshat.

Theon's been tortured this entire season, with the exception of being released, hunted, and returned for an episode or two.

I've avoided this thread for a long time, but now I'm here o deliberate. Spilt the thread in two. One thread for people who have only watched the series and another for the book worms. This way each sect can analyze and hypothesize with the information they have been given and that way all the book readers don't get all condescending  while dropping a spoiler bomb.

With that said Theon needs to die already.
Han solo blew up the Death Star in Episode 4.  Heard it from a friend.  Reliable source.

Which was really just an extension of his torture. With the coup de grace being the removal of his twig and berries.

It was a rhetorical question, and I kind of figured his fate was sealed, dead or alive, but yeah, start a show/book thread if you wanna discuss adaptation differences kornholio...

whoa, there ... I weren't implying anything else, other than this episode is not the end of his torture. A big surprise there. Dickless Theon would have such a nice prognosis otherwise.

As for spoilers - I a lot of ways the series does things differently than the book, so I can't be sure of Theon's faith, other than it's probably not going to be a good one.

And for the love of god, I don't want to discuss the difference any further. There a few, but who cares.

I haven't read the books but it seems like a waste of time to have 3 episodes dedicate a decent chunk of time showing the dude get tortured repeatedly and not have it lead anywhere.

timeline seems to fit... two more episodes for travelling and the last for the weddings. the episode title "Mysha", however, isn't promising
