Well after this season I'm definitely reading the books. I had held off as I was reading another long series, The Dark Tower, but this shit has just been too crazy, and I have a feeling main characters are going to just start dropping.

I was expecting Robb to die earlier to be honest

This may sound crazy, and may change as the books and stories progress but Tywin Lannister is up there as one of my favourite characters.

Maybe its just cause the actor Charles Dance is awesome though

hahaha exactly!
Haha that gif is so perfect to how I'm feeling as I'm reading the responses to the Red Wedding.

I still haven't started watching the show, I just can't do it. Maybe one day.

I really want the next book , so much shit will go down that its incredible . I also really wanna see how much shit house Frey gets from breaking the hospitality rule . It should turn all the other kings and houses against them .

Next season of game of thrones should also really kick of Aryas bad ass story line , I hope they dont fuck it up !

After the bedding ceremony it was pretty obvious that the Starks were about to get merked.
Han solo blew up the Death Star in Episode 4.  Heard it from a friend.  Reliable source.

u guys weren't expecting the baby stab tho, which was the worst part for sure

true. that was Knarly (k for knife)

what I was expecting thou, was Catlyn Stark at the very end before having her throat slit, going batshit crazy and shredding her face and tearing out her eyeballs with her fingernails

but I suppose that would have been a bit much for some viewers

This is what sets the series of books apart from other series - it's ruthless, no character is safe to live as the one hero ... they all get fucked at least once. That said, you can be sure you won't be able to predict any of the series finales, it's always going to be pure mindfuck.

I just finished the first book.  It was amazing, but certain things I feel the show did better.  Like Ned Starks death was better in the Show IMO.  Caught way more feels watching it.  That also could be because I hadn't known he was going to die as I did when reading.

Question though:  After Season 3 finishes, does that correspond with the end of the third book?  Basically, how far is the show when compared to the books?
I suck at SLAP.

Seasons 3 and 4 are supposed to be the 3rd book. It's just too expansive for one season to cover. Though I imagine some of the 4th book will sneak into season 4 too.

what a weird thing to say

Season 3 was suposed to be about half of book 3 , But its getting abit blurry on some story lines .  Season 4 should be book 3 and abit of book 4 maybe . At this pace they are gonna catch up to the books . Dude writing them isnt the fastest of the bunch

This is awesome. If there had been a camera on me while watching that scene, I would have most definitely been in that montage.

I think that Orange County Choppers looking motherfucker was my favorite. To be honest though, I think I had a similar reaction as I read that scene. Probably a bit more protracted though, as I can't read as fast as they can show that on film. Definitely that same range of emotions though.
