Also was interesting in this latest TV series to see the nods' to book readers like the Arya and Melisandre exchange...

Well with Arya and Melisandre they never met in the books - so when she says I will see you again or some shit you know either Arya is going North or Melisandre is heading to Braavos. Plus Melisandre sees in her eyes she will be a killer.

I only picked up on the Jon stuff from reading the forums, but a bunch of people think his mother is Lyanna Stark (Neds sister) and his Dad is Rhaegar Targaryen. There are loads of theories about it and a bunch of allusions in the book like Dany having visions of a blue rose on the wall when she was in the house of the undying and Rhaegarn having given Lyanna a bouquet blue winter roses at a tourney... this sounds outlandish as hell written on Slap - hope G R R Martin doesn't die on us

I have read the books thoroughly. Also, I agree, Tyrion gets heavy. Also, Arya, No spoilers though for the people who haven't.

I think they casted Oberyn pretty well from what I have seen though. Just hope he can act well. Martells are one of my favorite houses.

It's been a couple of years since I've read the books so I figured it's been long enough for me to start watching the show. Spent the past week or so binging on all three seasons. Shit is awesome. I'm glad I waited though because a lot of the nuances and the finer points were forgotten/dulled over the years and it was really nice rediscovering shit.

Someone refresh me on the Ramsay Snow (Bolton)/Reek angle. I recall it being a bit convoluted in the novels.

Reek was Ramsay's plaything, then Reek kills Ramsay and takes his place. Theon becomes the new Reek. Do I have it right?
