Jon will likely play a place in this too, though his bit with the wildlings seems wrapped up already.

Guess I didn't realize the weight of this fact...

apart from the shit at winterfell/stannis, it was surprisingly accurate to the books.

This is the second season finale in a row where afterwards I swore I wasn't going to watch this shit anymore.

Watching Jon die sucked but hey, making your audience emote is what writing a good story is all about and after seeing characters' general lifespans it was evidently going to happen sooner rather than later.

To quote L33tG33k, the whole business with the resurrected Mountain was all kinds of cheese.  HBO has enough of a budget to create a CGI dragon for fuck's sake but all they do is throw some gold armor and purple eye shadow on and boom Mountain 2.0? Not feeling it.

Stannis Baratheon and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Mountainstein looked pretty sketchy. Not sure what you guys expected for that. Cersei's face digitally pasted on a body-double was the real crime.

Thoughts:
-the Cersei body double bullshit, that whole scene was corndog
-the Danerys capture smacked vaguely of racism with the Cherokee whoops and such
-the ex pit fighter that Danerys bangs, terrible attempts at comic relief throughout the season
-mountainstein.... why even bother introducing him there like that
-the Aria shit was cool, one of the few redeeming things in the show
-glad Sansa escaped(is she old enough to be hot yet?)

Overall was pretty unimpressed with the season finale and it's predictability, didn't get me hyped for next season

Edit:

Also how did no food or filth get on the nun with the bell who was like a step away from her?(not my own observation)

This just makes the scene worse... David Benioff(big cheese of the show) sucked his own dick by saying, "It’s incredibly compelling yet you almost want to turn away because you’re looking at someone who’s suffering.”  Nah... more like wondering what the fuck is her face morphing for? is she about go hulk on the crowd?

I think she's gonna meet Brienne of Tarth on the woods, perhaps lesbian romance? or fall in love with Podrick

My hopeful side tells me they escaped. Throughout the show they allude to all of the secret entrances and exits hidden in Winterfell, and I'm wondering if there's a secret landing pad or something, or a tube to go along with Monty's daffy Star Wars theme.

I wish the Starks could just be happy for like 20 minutes.

Shit season. I still have no choice but to watch the next.

The HBO show to watch is Silicon Valley. Two seasons of absolute gold.
Before you say the music sucked, have you considered shutting the fuck up?

Love silicone valley. That show really does a great job making fun of start up culture. I felt like this season was a little soft for the first few episodes when they were writing around the cast member dying but got back on form quick. The VC funding part was pure gold.

Game of thrones is still hitting it for my wife and I and I'm glad we aren't feeling the frustrations others are as its really enjoyable watch.

We feel like there's nothing going on in the show but waiting for the next act of brutality. It's the pain Olympics with the most dragged out plot. We will watch, because we have to, but other than "Hardhome" this season was awful.

I'm hesitant to even quote this because I don't want to derail this thread but Russ Hanneman is one of the best TV characters I have seen in a long time.

Yah he is, I could see Neil Patrick Harris playing that character and being stupendous. Russ is like Barney Stinson but on cocaine.

Russ is so fucking hilarious. A billion dollars is 1 thousand million dollars. Losing several hundred of those millions isn't going to make you sell your car. And when he deleted all the porn with his tequila bottle, picked it up, then put it back down to test it, goddamn.

Probably the best scene in the series, which is saying a lot because it's great.

I had my beefs with this GoT season, but not nearly as bad as a lot of you are complaining about.
