Backwards compatible update for xbox 360
« on: August 09, 2011, 08:07:18 PM »
Does anyone on here know how to make an xbox 360 backwards compatible to play regular xbox games? I'm trying to play Tony Hawk 2x, and every list I've seen of games that'll play on both systems has it listed, but for some reason it won't play. Is there an update or something for it?

If you have the 4G "Arcade" Xbox with no harddrive then you can't play them

You need to buy an external harddrive to play original XBOX games. They cost around 100$, it sucks I had to get one to play Star Wars Battlefront and Amped 2

Like the hard drive memory system? That's what I have. I don't know what generation it is but I got it back towards the end of 2007.

This guy. If you have this that clips onto the top.

If your Xbox has a plain white disc tray, it's an 'Arcade'. If your Xbox has a chrome disc tray, it's what they called a "Premium" or something.

Not all old xbox games work either. Only some. I still play amped 2.

I have the chrome tray, and every list I've looked at says that the game is supposed to play. I'm out of ideas.

Connected to the internet? Can't play previous gen games without downloading updates for each of them individually.
