Grunge is gonna come back.  ANYTHING that happened 20 years ago is gonna come back, til infinity.

I can't wait for the nu-metal revival of 2019, aka nu-nu-metal.

skating really fast and cruising like that is fun as shit. i'm guilty, but i dont care
now that we have finally gained the ability to hate one someone for standing comfortably on their skateboard and enjoying the roll, i really think we're officially a sport now.

and now that i've noticed people hating on it, i make a concious effort to closefoot whenever possible.
i'm not the official voice of the park, i'm just a guy who skates and works there...

Can you really call vans, dickies, and flannels a trend? That shit has never gone away.
[close]
i feel like the whole flannel thing has died down. it was really big around 09. My little brother took all my old flannels cuz he wants to look grunge. So maybe they are going to be cool with the little kids again.
[close]

Way more interested in this.  Is it really coming back?  I think it would be hilarious to see people with flannels around their waists and torn up jeans with Doc Martens.
I keep hoping that D3s, swishy pants and jerseys will make a comeback as the cool thing to wear. Imagine every hipster you see dressed like Scott Pazelt.

everyone is guilty of it, I'm talking about kids that will land a trick normally, then will jump into ballerina mode.
Ah, greetings, greetings, and salutations. I beg your forgiveness. My tardiness was unavoidable. Rava, my love. Elaine, my dear friend.. And you must be Jerry. Lord of the manor. Ah, my liege. A pleasure to serve you.

It could just be me but bs 180s that are more bs90/pivot. If you purposefully practice them like this it's just annoying.

Yes the motorcycle thing is lame.

i think there was always skater/ bikers (jason jesse anyone?) but it is just becoming more prevalent now that guys are getting older.
yeah it's kinda weird that heaps of dudes are jumping on the bandwagon but if you enjoy riding (a bike) then who i am to stop you? i actually love what brands like loser machine are doing atm but as you know things will go full circle and pros will start driving pimped out acuras again and playing golf when they aren't hitting them ledges ... meh!

Vulcanized shoes.

I need more protection for my twiddle-toes! A thin slice of fabric glued to a slab of rubber isn't enough!

It has been hard to find interesting footwear in today's market ever since the slip-on vans styled shoe has become the norm.

i was the opposite of you in the teched out shoe phase of skating; all i wanted were some half cabs. different strokes for different folks. what we need is balance in the market so that we can choose. bring back ed templeton 1's!!!

*back on topic*

baker/ deathwish et al. crew's taste in music getting progressively worse over the years?

Do kids at your parks compared trucks grooves? I've had people ask me to see my feeble/smith/crook groove. Dumbest shit ever.
Then I hear them argue because apparently they're doing the grinds wrong cause of the groove

Backside 90 revert, also known to little kids as a backside "180". I honestly don't mind people pivoting the last 180 of a 360 if it's not in SKATE, but little kids are just getting lazy.

When people try and make hybrid trends by combining sky tops with small 3/4 capris with big dumb brigadas a small rolled up condom beanie with a crucifix around there neck, there usually wearing an " I Kush Weed" dgk shirt that is to big for there body. oh yeah there pants are camo as well.

if that really catches on itll probably considered more of a plague than a trend.

Dogs. Love them, but bringing them to a spot or skatepark unleashed and uncontrolled (which more and more people seem to do these days in my area) can get annoying when they run up on your trick and try to chomp the board.
