New York confession
« on: August 31, 2011, 05:19:16 AM »
I'm tired of all these cellar door skating, rough ground claiming fucks representing New York skateboarding. The problem isn't the cellar doors, but the pretension they have toward simplicity and skating "unique spots." If you haven't seen a New York video, that "innovative skating" was tired years ago. Having fun with your friends on a small spot, doing goofy shit is the best; but most of my peers look down upon skating anything challenging. You probably disagree or don't care, but I'm sure some New York heads, and other right coast affiliates, understand.

Sincerely,
a bitter, whiny New Yorker who lost everyone he skates with to smug East coast trends.

i love shrimp cooked in white wine.

skating is the same everywhere in the sense that it's a bunch of older dudes claiming they know what 'real skating' is and a bunch of kids who want to learn the hardest tricks because that is what is fun to them.  then there are just dudes having fun, thankful they get to skate and eat shrimp.    some guys (bobby p) gave you guys a bad rep sort of and sometimes people on slap perpetuate that.  bummer.
where is home?

Jeez everyone is so threatened by the East Coast. I guess they don't want to see anything but the same old spots in California.

Fenzadill = Jason Dill?

That was not my intention with this username.  It's the phonetic spelling of Phensedyl, a brand of codeine/promethazine cough syrup that I enjoy, pictured as my avatar.

What I meant to say was, I'm Jason Dill, send me naked pictures of your sisters and moms, because you respect me.

ny has been historically fairly weak. w/ some exceptions (gino, pappalardo, gerwer), but if you think about it, the OG pro zoo crew couldn't have been am for girl. maybe gangemi.

pappalardo's from long island, not that it really matters he skates the city either way

east coast skating is sick and i enjoy seeing cellar doors ridden on, but i understand your point, people can get to the point where they'll only skate that stuff, and look down on people who skate anything else

can become pretty lame

I'm moving to NYC next summer & the first thing I'm gonna do is find me a cellar door to skate. I've never skated one & I just gotta see what all the fuss is about...
