in one of the last in the OG series of Planet of the apes movies you can see almost every spot at UCI, shit was filmed in the 70's so this was way before any of that stuff had been touched.
Also i wouldnt consider this a "rad spot" but in the only episode i've seen of baywatch some kid is talking on a cellphone at that weird manual spot fountain thing in Balboa park in SD.

I have seen this fountain in videos when it is drained. Looks so amazing!

It was in the end of "Logan's Run." It says it is in Fort Worth so do any Texas heads know a link to any video it was in?

The spot is in some web videos, Thrasher had one Altamont had one too and I have seen random YouTube videos of Baltimore that showed the spot.

Definitely was stoked every time they showed it on The Wire, in fact in the commentary of Season 4 or 5 I can't remember which one but they talk about scouting locations for where Marlo and his crew would hang and they mentioned they found a perfect place that they believed was an abandoned skatepark so it may have been actually designed for skating originally or the producers just thought it was an old skatepark from back in the day.
