you'll notice he looks "sketchy" because he's riding ridiculously loose trucks.
Skate videos have been downhill ever since 411VM #20

I know he's one of those "great pioneers of modern day street skating" but what the shit?  I'm liking the switch tre, curse existence, switch flip, self-props line...

He's always had one of my least favorite styles, but he'd beat my ass so I should give him credit...*rolls eyes*  Why is it these "pioneers" of skating always have these super-sketchy borderline styles?  I'm talking people like Hawk, Mullen, Shef, Gall, etc?  It's something that always intrigued me.

yeah dude!

The switch tre line was perfect. Better than perfect even.

Yeah, you're right.  Nobody cares what Sheffey's been up to or if he's skating.  My bad.

mistake 1: using the word pioneers with quotation marks

you know what intrigues me?

that muthafuckas are quick to jump on "borderline" styles without any idea that maybe these cats skated without the need to appease the public

granted, i'll be quick to jump on a bullshit style, but this isn't 1992. skating has changed.

there was a point in which skating was based on more than mere talent. the crazy part is that now more than ever, videos try to show more footage of cats not skating in an attempt to give viewers a glimpse of their personality.

do you see any?

all in vain.

sheffey has more than earned shit-talking immunity.

disagree?

I can't front, Shef's style isn't amazing, it isn't even close to amazing. It was, however, a very good part, but just because he is a legend doesn't automatically make him have a fantastic style...

Hate Sheff all you want.  He's like the original theatrical version of the Star Wars movies.  There's new updated versions of him trying to run around like they run shit, but nothing beats the original because he's just that, original.  "Oh, his style sucks, now."  What the fuck ever.

that part of his is kinda my favourite of his, a real mix of different tricks and spots. i love the greyhound bumps line, just so much  life to it.

I've always thought he had a hideous style.  Rodney Mullen is about as original as you can get, but his style still looks like ass.  I just don't see what the heck is so compelling to watch, considering it's all ho-hum tricks landed sketchy.

I'll take Keenan Milton footy over this guy's any day.
