Nov 27th: Shake Junt video premier in Austin, TX

For anyone in the area:

On Sunday, November 27th, Apparition Skate Shop is hosting an all ages BakerBoys sanctioned premier for Shake Junt's upcoming Chicken Bone Nowison video.

It's at Spider House Cafe which is a pretty cool venue and the showing should be a lot of fun. There's also a contest at Capital Skate Park that day so if you're close it might be worth driving out for a full day of skateboarding and events.

Pretty sure I don't know you, name is probably just a coincidence (great/warped/low-brow minds...). I actually had a black eye when I made the account so that's how it came about. Accidentally bit your shit, sorry man.

I did however like that shop name and when I moved to Austin earlier this year I tried to find it but it's not around any more right?

No matter what, try to check it out. I've adopted Apparition as my 2nd home/family so if you know the guy behind the shop them chances are we'll meet at some point. If you don't make the premier come by the shop and skate the mini sometime.

We closed the doors on March 31st, and I've become a bit of a recluse in the skate scene since then. I'm still working with a friend on a small, art based board company in town called Animals & Children.  I show up to events every once in a while, but I'd much rather be walking around in the woods and studying the great horned owls in my neighborhood.  I'm glad you like the name.  I did too.

Definitely sucks. I hate hearing about REAL skate shops closing. Mustache and Blackeye are gone, I hear another area shop is on the outs as well. I'm not a fan of a couple of the shops around Austin, No-comply seems decent but I only stopped in there once, briefly. Of the underground/underdog shops Apparition is really the only one left that's worth a damn (that I know of anyway). It reminds me of a late 80's-early 90's shop, and they go out of their way to get pretty much anything I ask for so I'm definitely backing the place. Anyway man, good luck with what you have going on now and down the road.

Whether you personally like the company or not, premieres tend to be fun. Being a skateboarder, I enjoy skate related events, as do many others.

I'll admit that though sometimes entertaining, a lot of the Baker/Shake Junt antics generally don't interest me, I'm well past that point in life. Regardless, there should be some great skating in this vid. I mean, it has Reynolds, Dollin, Lizard King, tons of others. I thought Duncombe rode for them too, could be wrong though.

Can't argue with a skate video playing in a legit theatre, for FREE.

The only other premier I've been to all they had was a home sized projection screen TV, never actually seen one on the big screen.
