I like dickies entering the skate market. Almost every skateboarder in history has owned a pair of dickies and its nice to see them give back.
By "give back" do you mean that their marketing department realized skateboarders like their clothes and they can make money off this venture. It's not a damn non-profit. The people in the meeting where this was decided were like, "Skateboarders have been so nice to us, we should hook them up."
Shit, they got-
"Dickies Girl"- "fashion for teens with an edge."
"Dickies Medical Apparel" I guess that's for heath care professionals who like to get gnarly.
I like Dickies and all. Good clothes at cheap prices, but business is business. It's like the old Nike argument. Nike does some cool stuff for skateboarding and I like/use their products, but most big company's "giving back" is just marketing.
