Finished season one of The Wire for the first time last night, and holy shit is it amazing. It's giving me the same feeling as watching The Sopranos the first time.
[close]

Still haven’t watched past season 1… trying to finish Ozark and the mandolorian, but the wire is on deck..

An HBOmax subscription is worth it on sopranos, curb your enthusiasm, true detective, and the wire alone ha

Sopranos will always be my comfort watch. When all else fails, put on seasons 1-3 any episode..
[close]
Speaking of HBOmax have you watched Search Party?  I love that show.
[close]

That show really escalated. It's amazing.

If anyone's watching and not fully committed, please hang in there.

But the latest season goes waaaaay over board. And it’s already a crazy ass show. Fully cooked!!!!

My favorite part in Cadillac Records. Funny scene with iconic music, gun flashes, another man's lady, centered around Howlin Wolf Muddy Waters' professional rivalry

*puts on flame suit*

The Witcher isn't bad. Nice escapism with a huge budget, lots of titties, and dragon slaying. What else could you want?

Witcher’s good fun. Could dial back the husky whispering though.

So um, no one mentioned that the final season of Gomorrah aired.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

My G!

Was kinda fire. Binged it in a day as usual. First and second seasons were much better / more brutal.

If you’re into Naples (and not just the gangsta side of it) watch last Sorrentino’s movie. The hand of God. On Netflix I believe.

I've seen it on there. Haven't watched it yet. I can dig any reference to Diego Maradona in a movie.

Not Netflix per se but this is a great breakdown of all the confusingly shitty "aging action star" movies that have been dropping in droves for the past few years. Good for film nerds.

Skip all the skit stuff if you want and start at 9:00.

Great watch ^^ Glad to see RLM getting some love ha…

I'm a nerd I love these guys. 33:05 really got me

[close]

that's a great episode, i rewatch it sometimes because the scenes with kelsey grammar are so funny when he plays himself up, yet apparently his character doesn't do shit the whole movie. or at least that's how it seemed to me.
[close]

I love RLM…. If I’m ever feelin down, this 30 minute montage of rich Evans butchering words is a quick pick me up

[close]

no doubt, there's not many media things that can so easily better my mood than rlm. just the right mix of cynicism and heart in their humor. especially because of rich evans. i love it everytime he gets pissed on video and can't help but speak in this high pitched little angry kid voice. and then imo he also generally has interesting viewpoints on movies when he disagress with his mates.
[close]
Just to add on to the RLM love even if I out aside how funny they are and how good at making videos etc they are genuinely the best film reviewers by several miles. There's plenty others on YouTube and they are all mad budget. Hack the movies might be the worst (at least out of popular ones) they literally just retell the plot of the movie and randomly read facts off Wikipedia. That's not a fucking review. RLM can actually just freely get into any detail about film making or writing.
What's weird tho is I have no idea when I started watching them or how I even found them. I can remember the first time I saw hundreds of other shows but not RLM just one day it was a part of my life.

I never watched The Simpsons or Futurama like that for some reason, but I'm really into Disenchantment now. New Episodes in 2 days  :D Would recommend.

Im the opposite, I like the Simpsons and Futurama but couldn't get into Disenchantment. Cadyshack is on netflix right now. Watching that last night was a good way to wind down.

Euphoria got me feeling all kind of ways. The juicy Cassie, Maddy, Nate drama has me rolling at times. Feel like there’s a lot subtle humor sprinkled in with all the terrible shit.

I’ve been half paying attention to Euphoria while my gf watches it.  I kinda fucking hate most of the characters but that’s probably the point.  Seeing Nate get his ass kicked was so satisfying.  Maddy’s supposed to be psycho and scary but she’s just annoying as hell.  Last episode was pretty insane, as difficult and infuriating as it is watching Rue’s story play out, I’ve got to see where this shit with Laurie goes.. though I already have a pretty good idea.

Pretty perfect video for me. I love RLM and have spent the last couple years yelling wtf at my tv/these shit movies. Nice to have my suspicions of is he even on set or with other actors confirmed

Just give Zendaya the Emmy. That episode was tough, yet incredible, to watch. Being painfully hungover while watching, it made me rethink my recent alcohol intake. This was a good season reset and I hope they keep the quality coming.

Laurie is pure evil and a super captivating character.

One of my favorite soundtracks… the scene with Al Green playing so good.

And forgot to reply to True Grit. Damn i love that one. The dialogue is just perfect.

Watched Smiling Friends on HBO last night. I have to say that it's the best original content Adult Swim has put out since ATHF, IMO. Highly recommend and will binge season 2 when that drops.
