Anyway to protect the exposed threads on your trucks when using thin cut wheels?  Seems like once you go thin cut you can't go back to anything else.

a friend of mine broke a silver kingpin and since he couldn't take the broken one out... he went to the shop and got a brand new set of silvers.... what happens on a week or two? another kingpin off.

 he told me something like

"they sell silver kingpins and you cant take them off(the broken ones) the baseplate anyways.."

He told me something like its impossible to take the broken kingpin off
