For real. Fortunately I really only need a new set of Spitfires and I'll probably stock up on discounted grip tape.

If it helps, Uma uses the same shapes as Polar.
[close]

No they don't. They're the generic BBS shapes. Same as Passport, Magenta, Theories, etc.

I compared an Uma to my board yesterday and it's identical in every way. I stood on a Polar as well and the Polar has a larger nose and pointy tail. They're the only BBS brand with that.

The three Uma decks that I have had have definitely been more mellow than Magenta and Theories, and you are right, definitely not close to a Polar.

Yah, I spoke to someone that works at BBS and they said that basically certain companies that have higher volume generic orders can request to have boards from higher and lower in the stack similar to DLX. So personally I know that my Sci-Fi are steeper than Killing Floor, dunno if they request things or what.

Jacapo deck $48

hot damn, another reason i'm sticking with tactics $40 bbs shop decks. smh, fucking $72 ass board goes on sale for $50

i spent $76 on a quasi proto board a month ago and i knew i'd never buy a brand name board ever again unless there was a sentimental reason

So with consumer spending on gear down and an over saturation of product when are these deals gonna peak.

Going to add this - if you want to support a small shop and still ride BBS/Generator decks, Long Beach Skate's shop decks are BBS/Generator. They even have a full shape that rides like FA/Hockey is that's your thing.

Boards are tough. The margins aren't great and the prices of wood just keep going up. Plus, inflation just sucks overall. I anticipate a lot of brands hitting the $70 mark soon

This one with the shovel nose? I usually don't mess with dipped decks but this is a beauty.

Their older shop boards (Queen Mary series) look pretty standard popsicle.

I was very tempted by these but ultimately I don't like a thick cupsole so I'm gonna pass and let other size 9 skaters get these.

Skate warehouse sale got me. Santa Cruz 8.6 with a 14.25wb  Cause I’m trying to slowly get back down to 8.5 from 8.75 and got a skatewarehouse 8.62 deck for 15$ and a spitfire shirt for my son. Both decks will be spray painted. But damn the creature 8.8 stumps I had was great.  NHS wood is legit. Little stiffer than bbs but not as stiff as r7 dwindle. It’s nice.

Bones 103a if you like hard wheels. Otherwise not really.
Skateboarding is the ultimate challenge.
