Wow, those cognac blazers are smooth. I would’ve bought them as well but no 9.5’s unfortunately. I was also eyeing those Ellingtons but $75 and that colorway isn’t really in my wheelhouse. Would love to hear how they fit and skate though.

I bought the Ellington’s for $75 back in September when Humidity had them half price. As far as skating/fit, they’re undoubtedly the most comfy shoe I’ve ever skated in. The heel is super squishy and padded, and the upper is pliable and conforms to your foot shape.

Now to the skating part.. the sole is very grippy, infact I think it’s excellent, but the upper and toe are basically paper thin. You can poke the toe gently with a single finger, and it’ll indent. It’s like a single layer of bicycle tire tube. As someone who relies on a thick firm
toe stylistically for flip tricks, there’s no grab there when sliding your toe up the board.

That said.. in a strange way I really like the shoe. The toe thing is odd, and kind of sucks for how I skate, but I still have this weird love for them.

very interesting thanks for in depth review! I see the weird mesh above the toe box and I get sketched out instantly. Crazy that they made the side panels super thin too. I kinda fuck with them are far as the looks.

Thanks for the report! I think they look cool and like they skate well. Li-Ning also makes shoes for Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler, my 2 favorite basketball players. I’ve always been familiar with the brand through them. I wouldn’t mind getting a pair eventually. The bright neon is kind of distracting to me on a skate shoe. I’d prefer something a little more subtle.

Ssense currently has a the black/white Bruce Lee colorway 50% off, and a mono white colorway for full price.
