After watching it a handful of times, i noticed if you skip willows part and stop it after Daewons part it's way more enjoyable.

Cooper's been steadily cruising on the low since about '06 - of course he's still pro - especially since Almost has switched up their marketing scheme by cutting the heavy hitting contest kids (Sheckler and Lutzka) and promoting the fun side of skating. And seriously, did we really want to see Lutzka 270 noseblunt a parking block?

The parking block montage was sick to see. All in all though, I was a bit disappointed in the video. Maybe it was the sound track or maybe because I had to buy it on iTunes since there isn't a shop to watch it at within 10 hours of Slapout, China where I'm living.

Haha that's a rad name for a place.  I love how awkward some words in other languages look/sound when translated into others.

That dude CJ Tambornino seems kind of overlooked in this whole discussion, maybe he's been overshadowed by the whole "Daewon in Nature" debate.  That man has some seriously fucking bananas techquirk maneuvers (and a crazy white man's reverse afro ginger beard that appears to have been influenced by Haslam's school of facial topiary)

The video is worth it. But it's a little short (roughly 35mins or so). But each skater has a huge amount of sick tricks thrown into their sections. So you are going to get that jaw dropping moment a good few times in this video. It's mainly on really tech stuff, or some damn right messed up object. Like the trick on the bridge.

Daewon's section was more playful compared to insane. I was laughing at a few things he was doing, since it's just wrong.
Haslam got me jumping about with the "omg, oh shit" moments, since he does some really techy tricks in these insane combos.

The rest of the video, I found to be more of an average video, since those guys are more street based skaters. As I look at Almost as a tech company (well I did with Round 3). But they do put out some extremely good parts too.

It's worth the 6 bucks to watch it to be honest.

I think Daewon should've just waited and done a Round 4 with Rodney later on, he could've released this part as web clip like he's been doing. Some of his tricks were frankly just shitty and did not belong in a full video. I like Daewon don't get me wrong, but I literally cringed  when I saw a couple of his tricks.

I actually just paid for it, I had some I-credit. I love skateboarding a lot after 17 years or so. Everyone gets in a weird frenzy about this stuff. I think all skate vids are just advertising these days. I'm sure they know that too. Oh, and fuck you, go and lecture your friends and talk about saving the 'game.'

Good for you.  And people rightfully get in a frenzy when we lost, what, like 3-4 companies in a couple weeks?  Skater owned shops are dropping like flies as well.  I'll be the first person to admit to skating in Adidas, but I'll be goddamned if I don't at least pay for them.

EDIT: and that was a sincere "good for you" enjoy your video and that you just helped that company out a bit, even if was for a small amount.

To be honest I doubt I'll watch it again more than twice. I pay for all my skate shit too. My point is that the nature of skate vids has changed. A lot of recent parts/vids have been free. It is all marketing these days. I skate. Buying videos doesn't make me feel like I'm supporting much. It seems out of date.

No they haven't. Companies still make videos in order to make money?same as before. It's not all marketing these days. If no one pays you for your product or services, you go out of business. That basic principle of capitalism hasn't changed for thousands of years, and it's no different now. If you want these guys to keep putting out parts, free ones online included, you have to pay them in some way, shape or form...

Food for thought, when Slap posters talk about not having $6 to pay for a download, you have to remember that people paid 7.99 for Tim and Henry's Pack of Lies in 1992 and it was only 20 minutes of skating. That isn't inflation adjusted mind you.

i loved the video and it only gets better with each viewing. everyone came through in my opinion. Cooper, Daewon, & Haslam  had my favorite parts. (Cooper's roof gap 50-50 and switch boardslide on that tree were so rad)
