its a sick photo for sure and it looks like a no comply but you can tell he just pushed it extra hard and caught it with his front foot. thats why his back foot is all winged out like that.

Yeah, it's really not that hard to lift your back foot up in the air after you've shoved the board. Just like som people spread their legs and catch front foot (Silva, Janoski etc) on 360 flips, some people do it on pop shoves.
