Emerica is a skateboard shoe company.
America is a country.
i can understand the confusion, but the differences between the two are enormous.
I'm pretty sure a good percentage of consumers don't know where they're buying their shit from. Sure people on SLAP might know, but does the average skateboarder know?
It's only misleading for people who don't have prior knowledge that emerica shoes are made in China. If "emerica" is a skateboard company, then wouldn't it make more sense to just put "made
by emerica"?
"made
in emerica" just seems like an easy to way to take advantage of people who just simply don't know.
