Nike SB Dunks
« on: November 06, 2006, 11:47:04 PM »
Hey guys, the soles of my DC shoes are going to die soon and i was thinking about getting a pair of Nike SB Dunks... either the normal team dunks, or the P-Rod signature shoe...

any opinions on them?  i know they will kill my feet when i skate stairs but how are they in terms of board feel and durability?  does the sole last long?

thanks for any input...

suede+leather dunks are the only ones worth buying for skating

if you buy sb's you own shares of a company. Don't skate em... sell em when they become more valuable and use the money to buy 23 pairs of no name brand shoes ( unless you don't REALLY useshoes for skating)

I got some Og Dunk on a sale bin womens section, Size 11wms so it's 10 for me luv it and spray painted it to cover up the girly colors.
And why is Chet wearing 6.0 I thought he's on SB are'nt those two "totally different" thing. Can the sneakerheads confirm on these.

excellent board feel, but damn those damn suede dunks only last me like 1 1/2 weeks. Its been a while since i skated in leather sb's but i prefer the suede ones anyways.. its just they dont last long..

i'd recomend p-rods over dunks! i've skated a couple of pairs of each and p-rods definatly last longer and feel better. if your open to other suggestions i'd say try some globe finales they skate amazingly and have lasted really well for me, pretty cheap too.

6.0's are nikes so called 'extreme sports range', not actually designed for skateboarding there suppossed to be tough wearing shoes for bmx, inline, skateboarding, free running, pogo sticking, unicycling, extreme kyaking, snowboarding bungeejumping and any other stupid ,for want of a better phrase, 'extreme sport' you can think of and are available in almost any shoe store where as the sb range is supposed to be skate shops only.

thanks for the info on the morgans/6.0's, dont think ill get them though.... ill stick with the p-rods or the dunks, which ever i can get cheaper....
besides, who needs a shoe that is durable when you have shoe goo... who care about the main body of the shoe, the most important thing is the sole....

The suede dunks are pretty weak. I had a pair of the black/cement supreme ones and they blew out so fucking fast. I've also skated leather and canvass dunks and they held up a little better. Save yourself some time and money and pick up some vans or buy non sb dunks. I've skated 2 pairs of non sb dunks and they were just as good, if not better then the sb's.

dunk sb's are great shoes to skate in and they look really great too. what happened with me though is i got so pumped on dunks and i bought like 7 different pairs thinking they were the best shoes to skate in ever. then i recently bought a pair of dc lynx 2's and i actually like to skate those better than the dunks but i wear the dunks to chill and sometimes i still skate them

I'm pretty psyched to get my hands on a pair of these mid-tops.
