I really mean it when I say Shawn is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He tolerates people that are really annoying (I am thinking of someone in particular - I hope they don't read slap) and only has positive things to say. He runs a non-profit after school program and a skateboard club (where he regularly talks other pros to come out and skate with the kids - even Gerwer!). Dude has done more for skateboarding in the last year than most do their whole life. He is not a "whack pro", he is a humble and kind dude living his version of the skate dream. He is also damn good at the brand of skating he does.
