I guess nowadays if your older than 25 and didn't turn pro you get the man-am label and I'm guessing companies would rather pick up some kid that's young and up and coming so kids can be hyped on em when they turn pro - the same it was six or seven years ago when Paul Rodriguez, Spanky, Brian Herman,Bieble,Leo Romero, Brian Wenning, etc were ams and lest say if they were to turn Daniel Castillo pro who would really buy his board? Its all about who's young and marketable that kids would be stoked on the buy their boards. But I don't see why you can't turn pro after 25, Ron Allen did at 28(I think) and he's still ripping now at 40+(I recently seen him ripping the Berkely park) Koston ,Guy, Rick Howard,Ricky Oyola, Bobby Puleo, Josh, Kalis are all still ripping to this day. It sucks for Joey I hope he finds something solid.

^^^He also had pro-models on Aesthetics. He had a sick one that had a baby blue backround with a Mission Hill sign and other Boston icons on it.

I just don't get why this guy isn't huge... every single clip, photo, or sequence of him is the best clip in the video or page in the magazine.  Throw him on City, make him the 3rd pro along with milligan and reeves, tell the rest of the guys sorry.

Like a newer generation Jeff Pang......dope power style.

Always thought the kid was fuckin ill. Got to skate with him a bunch over the years. Super chill and killed it.

I'm glad he's off Zoo Dork, somebody bring back Aesthetics or throw him on the City roster.

joey pepper is man-am.  thats how it is.  he didnt get any love at his time because of his style (not that its bad, just wasnt what was 'in' at the time).

companies dont want to invest in him, not because talent, cause hes a fucking ripper...but why invest money to turn a dude pro when he's 25+, needing more money and support  - when they can turn a 17 or 18 year old pro, get away with payin them less, and still have a good 5-7 year return on that kid skating.

its like that with everything, modeling, sports, jobs.  it's gay, but thats reality.  keep switch back tailing everything joey.

but bill pepper - fuck that guy.

I thought we went through this already.  Joey Pepper pro boards already out on Aesthetics and Zoo and a pro model Autobahn wheel is out right now.  No need to turn anybody anything.

how does that not make sense?

he was a guest skater and  "I" felt like he stole the show, as in his shit was more impressive to me.

its an opinion, and i know a lot of people really dig rob welsh (me included), but thats what i think.
