My friend does. He just started that way when he was really young and didn't know any better. I guess the though process of "The bigger side goes in the back" makes some sense. But he skated that way for a few years before realizing he was always skating his boards backwards, and now it feels weird for him to skate it the other way.

Normally I roll the "correct" way but for switch pop and any front shove or front shove variance, varial heel front biggie, I always feel better popping it off the nose. There is a few kids in my area who roll tail first but its the usual reasons, started out that way.

That's exactly how it was for me and my friends for the first, probably, 3-4 years I was skating. Actually, I think my friend still rides his boards backwards.

When I learned I was riding them the "wrong" way, I just switched.

it's really hard for me to skate the tail for fakie. i only do it when i'm filming a line that flows to where i kinda have to or if i don't plan on it. if i'm trying to do something fakie i use the nose, especially if i'm popping over something. the only fakie trick i don't do with my board backwards is halfcab crooks cause they feel weird that way. i skate my board backwards for fs shoves, hardflips & impossibles though.

also, i'm really consistent with full cabs but i've never been able to back 3. tried one with my board backwards the other day & scooped all the way just landed weird. some tricks are just easier/different with your board backwards, for me at least.

But seriously, after a few years I stopped caring/noticing and started skating it either way for whatever trick I'm trying.  I kind of suck though, so don't take that as advice.

I have been skating boards backwards for as long as i can remember.

I just rather the larger side on the back.

Kind of weak when your graphic is always upside down but that shits gone in like a week anyway.


Now that I think about it, I've always wanted to try that Mystery series of decks that were equal size on either side.

Pretty sure Lindsey Robertson used to get his boards with the same size nose and tail. Its all preference and what your used to.

Nose : Nollie

People usually skates the nose when doing some switch tricks , but it feels weird when I try to kick, it's like i will fall forward and I lose all my balance.

My tall man brethren Sean Payne is one of the gnarliest dudes I've ever seen skate in person and he's been riding his board backwards forever, whatever floats your boat, boys doesn't bother me in fact if it helped you skate like Sean more power to you I'd do that shit too.

I flip flop when it comes to fakie, it really depends what I'm doing. I pop fakie off the tail for tricks like fakie nosegrind or half cab crooks, but a lot of fakie flip tricks I pop off the nose...
