camp(not always gay) late 20 year old men are always the best hairdressers! Usually i cut my own hair but when i fuck it up i always go to the same dude.. its not as fun as having the occasional boob graze your shoulder as a middle aged cougar evens out your mop but at least you dont leave the shop looking like a lesbian jailbird, wich in my experience is every female hairdressers speciality when it comes to my head.
I feel you, and as un-PC as it may be, I'm gonna say it: gay men are the best at cutting men's hair. They know how a man wants to look, and they know what makes a man look fuckable.
I swear by my barber in the Castro. I live in Oakland now and drive over the bridge just to have him make my hair look good.
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”

anybody use the beanie trick?  i've been doing it for years

if you have hair that grows in all kinds of directions; when you get out of the shower, comb it how you want, throw a beanie on for awhile and let it dry.  take the beanie off and it'll make cowlicks and weird parts disappear.

my hair naturally grows forward, which i hate, so i comb it back and put a beanie on.  works perfectly, just takes a little longer to dry.

also if check this stuff out:
http://www.amazon.com/Fiber-Grease-Pomade-7oz-210g/dp/B0019IZ6B0

i do this every day.  also have been looking for fiber grease since i lived in SF, so thanks for posting that (i thought it was discontinued)

I have to get a haircut every month, my hair grows fast and its thick, I normally just wear a hat now and slick it back with some Murrays. Been thinking about getting my haircut like Eric Dressen after watching his epicly later'ds.
