I tried buying 139's for my 8.125 board, the shop dude aegued saying 149's are the right size for my board.so I bought 149's and my wheels stick out, its not a big deal I've just never ridden a board with the wheels out like that, a little distracting

Your shop dude sounds like a moron. 139's are perfect on an 8.125.

everyone just do yourself a favor and get some ace 149's and you will be more than happy
I'm pretty sure you mean Ace 44s considering Ace doesn't make 149s

if anything, Krux seems to be coming back with their 5.0, so it would fill the gap if Indy does that. It shouldn't matter at that point since they're under the same roof and share the same design almost (albeit an earlier incarnation of indies for krux.) I'm definitely picking up a set of krux once they do finally hit stores.

I'm stuck in the middle on this topic because I have a set of 139 and 149. It may not do much but I double up the inside washers on my 139 and it spaces it out a little bit, makes it feel pretty good. for the way I skate 149s are just too heavy for everyday use.

Thats exactly what I do and what I think about the 149's. Indy, fucking make an 8.25 truck already!

On the 149 note though.. Try some hollow 149's like the kostons. I tried a friends board that had a pair at the park and they felt really good, stable as 149's but lighter. Im getting a pair myself

A while back I went to step up my indy's from 139 to 149s but the shop only had one truck, not even a set. I instead bought some thunder 149 lights with the hollow kingpin though and it was a pretty easy transition. Im sure the hollow indy 149s are the same

Been back and forth from 8.25"/8.375/38"/8.5" for over a year now; I like to keep my trucks the same width as my board.

Currently, I'm riding an 8.38" (8.6" before that and 8.375" before the 8.6) and just switched back to ACE44s w/the mag baseplates from Theeve 5.85" TiKings as pivot cups are no longer snug fitting in either baseplate, sort of a weird ride.

I forgot how amazing ACEs are.

Anyway, I put my ACEs on the 8.375" and it's a good fit (still thinking of dropping down to 8.25") - the difference is so minimal, 0.125 / 1/8", but I'd rather have my trucks UNDER than Frankensteining out the sides ;) That said, I setup my 8.6" with Indy 159s (8.75") for use in the bowl and don't notice the over hang at all. If I didn't get wheel bite when using Thunders, I'd get a pair as the 149's axle is indeed 8.375" as most DLX shapes max out at 8.38", with a few exceptions (hell even Zero/Lurkville use that 8.375" shape as they use the same wood shop in Mexico, so no coincidence that Cole rides 149s and 8.375"decks).

If it were me, and I wanted Indys in the 139/149, I'd wait it out as the refresh for those sizes with the new/tweaked stage V-VII geometry should be coming in January.
