I lived there for a few months when I was 18.right in surfers which was the dumbest thing ever.weed was super hard to buy/sketchy and shitty.our neighbour would bus to nimben every few weeks and bring us back an ounce or so.eat kebabs and swim at awesome beach.also sneaking into the amazing hotel pools is fun and easy.there's abundant nightlife but I hate most australian guys and that's where they're at their worst.the gold coast is a mecca for douches from all over tho.there would be a fair amount of spots but every set/curb cut had blind person bumps all over them.
I;m sure i;m not the only dc/monster/subaru type guy here

i grew up there and moved away 8 years ago. i go back fairly regularly though. ice nine is right, surfers fucking sucks. the southern end of the coast is great, though. the beaches at coolangatta are awesome. there are a bunch of parks all around there that each have something fun. nerang skatepark is pretty decent, as is varsity lakes. elanora bowl is good if you like tranny. pm me if you want to know specifics, but i'm pretty out of the loop with anything happening there recently.
