Silent Hill or Resident Evil?

Silent Hill 3 is probably one of my all time favorite games up there with Skate,Perfect Dark, and Crash Team Racing. So I gotta go with Silent Hill. How about you gents?

silent hill 1 to 3 by a long long shot.

I thought the first two Resident Evil games were pretty amazing until Silent Hill came out then it was like "Resident who"?

Silent Hill was actually scary. Unlike RE which was kind of clunky and cheesy. It oozed atmosphere and had a real adult storyline. Silent Hill 2 Perfected the formula. I still believe it to be one of the best games I have ever played. Number 3 I didn't think was as good as 2 but still far superior to anything Resident Evil had going at the time.

I used to be obsessed with the resident evil games. Had the first three for PS1 on heavy rotation.
Tried playing Silent Hill but couldn't get into it.

Silent muthafuckin' Hill. Resident Evil is a great shooter/adventure series, but I don't think I have ever had as good of a horror experience, even with a movie, as I had with the Silent Hill games. Haven't checked out any of the recent ones but I've read bad reviews. I agree that 2 was the best, though I've never actually played the first.

the first movie was pretty average. the second one looks fucking terrible. a mess of cgi and the 3d in the title fills me with more horror than anything that will be in the film.
