Who gives a flying fuck. The shoes aren't some wacky skytop. They actually look pretty sick, the guys in the group skate and nobody's asking you to buy them. Just because little kids get fanboyish over this group doesn't mean you have to rally against any concept or entity they touch.

I have never really been a fan of Vans, I always put them on the same level as airwalk. I had them both when I first started skating, then moved on to better things.

just looked up what odd future is, forgot they existed, not sure why these guys are so popular, seems like some kool keith ripoff thats not really funny. there are some kids i know from back home from the skatepark who are about 10 who listen to these guys so i guess that must be their target demographic.

from what i was told when i worked at vans is that they want to dont compete with nearby stores that sell they're product. thats why they never have any of the good collections. the whole i worked there they only had half cabs in black suede, black canvas, and navy...

that aside those are some nice colors, that'd sell with or without the GW

I follow tyler the creator on Twitter. some of the replies make me SMH. Super blond aryan kids that say nigga every other tweet. Nobody IRL to keep them in check.

personally, the golf wang on the back ruins the shoe for me,I would skate them but not when I have tons of other Vans pro model choices. I would also take off the tongue patch on them.  other than that they're pretty damn good looking shoes. dat gum sole.
Plus kinda what will easly was saying, whether we like that rap group or not they're culturally relevant to tons of kids for whatever reason. they're counter culture icons right now. this isn't enough of a reason to think Vans sucks. implying they don't work with tons of cool skaters/artists/designers throughout the years.

So when Supra does collabs with Lil Wayne they supposedly "aren't core anymore" but when Vans does some shit with Odd Future its, "im surprised they havent cashed in earlier". I didn't say I approve of it, all I said was that its surprising it took this long. Vans has always been about money more than they are about being "core". Supra on the other hand is a smaller, skater owned entity so it was a bit more of a surprise/let down to see them hocking lil wayne's shit.

as wack as this is, who cares... they have been making THE BEST skate shoes longer than most of you koos were born. ive skated pretty much nothing but vans for like 2 years and i typically hate wearing anything else. since 1966 yall cant fuck with that!
