MVP this year is a toss up, you can’t deny if Jokic wins it that it’s not deserved. The Nuggets are embarrassingly bad when he’s not playing.

I realistically don’t think the Nugs can pull off a first round upset against the dubs but I’m hoping they can at least make it a competitive series.

yeah he deserved it but his stats werent really that much better from last year (which if you win back to back it really should be THAT much better)

Mvp could go to giannis again and i wouldn't be mad. He's almost in that LeBron position where he could have gotten it every year

This is when i really hate not having cable…. Between nba playoffs and baseball *sigh*

I hope the nets crush the Celtics so bill Simmons will upload a podcast of him crying the entire time lol

I'm not on here enough to really jump in with ya'll, and I know it's pretty much 100% Laker hate on here, but allow me to add to the Bill Simmons hate.
One of my favorite moments from the 2010 Lakers title was during that series, Bill Simmons had this ESPN live blog that he was doing.  It was basically live tweeting during the game but on the ESPN mobile site at the time.  He was prolific and was giving live commentary during each game of the finals.  Given that he's a HUGE Celtics honk, he brought his dad to game 7 thinking they would win and celebrate.  Celtics up 13 late in the game, Lakers look like absolute shit, and he's just going on and on about how great a moment this is for him and his dad, that they're going to see the Celtics win another ring and at Staples blah blah blah.  Then as the Lakers slowly comeback, you can just read each single message and how heartbreaking each basket is to him.  God, I drank those tears like they were the fountain of youth!  It was glorious.

With that, I'm going to enjoy these playoffs without a team to root for and will just be able to relax without a dog in the fight and root for/against whoever.  Really hoping Memphis makes a deep run.  I saw Ja play 2 times this year in LA and a couple times last year also, dude is so much fucking fun to watch.

@DaleSr so what happened to your Clips?

Y’all been steady talking shit on my crappy Lakers all year. The irony in getting eliminated by players that we drafted (D’angelo/Pat Bev, Ingram/Nance Jr).

lol

??? Not a clippers fan but…
Clips made the play-in with a bench mob pretty much all year, Lakers were far far behind with their supposed playoff team…also, isn’t it worse for the Lakers that y’all ended up getting rid of all those players that ended up doing well?  Anyways, it’s ok, I’m sure Pelinka will get the boot eventually.

Clippers got a better team, coaching staff and front office. I’m not denying that at all. Just tired of all the trash talking the last decade from a team that’s never won anything.

Every time they play the Lakers they act like it’s game 7 of the NBA Finals and are always gloating, laughing, clowning us, etc. (Some of it is deserved, no doubt, but I’m over it tbh). I know a few Clipper fans irl and they all act like this. Not saying Laker fans aren’t annoying/obnoxious either.

LeGM/Klutch, Pelinka, Jeanie Buss, and Kurt Rambis don’t know what the hell they are doing. Clippers, as of now, are a better run organization. I’ll give credit where it’s due.

And I do miss some of our younger guys, but I’ll take a ring over “what if’s” any day (even if it’s a bubble title). The Lakers have a great scouting department headed by Jesse Buss, but are pretty bad at developing young talent.

And I got love for my leftist brother DaleSr, but we have that LA vs SD rivalry going on. At the end of the day, I love basketball and hoped that both of our teams would eventually meet in the playoffs. Here’s to next season and good luck to everyone’s teams who are still in it.

Feels bad man. Oh well. Knew shit was probably not gonna go our way when pg was out. Now that gives kawhi even more time to get his body right for next year.

And nothing personal @smokecrack , but we act that way for laker games because that is our championship, every other season outside of this current 11 winning seasons streak has been abject, brutal failure. SD curse continues, now only the padres can hurt me

It’s all love… i remember Silkyjohnson (think he has me on ignore though) and i going at it when Rockets vs Dubs battled in the playoffs. Some of my favorite times here ha

I’m glad we can all collectively hate bill Simmons. Dude definitely loves to sniff his own farts…

Nets/Celtics was great television, for someone with no dog in the fight other than a $10 bet on the C's

Did Tatum really block Durant's jumper or did I hallucinate that

yesterday was an amazing day for basketball. i was hungover all day so i just laid up in bed and watched my heat destroy the hawks and that hairy ass lollipop. boston brooklyn game was ridiculous with the back and forth and the bulls stayed close to the bucks all game. def thought what the poster above me said about the ref switching his call to ensure giannis didnt foul out. i fucking love playoff basketball.

Celtics v nets is an interesting series. One team with the worst fans vs another team with no fans. I hope the nets lose. Kyrie and kd winning would be unbearable and would inflate their heads like mega mind
