Saw S1 after it all came out and was wary of all the real life people bitching, but I loved the characterization of Jerry West so much
[close]
It's such an entertaining show, I'm pumped for season 2.  I already know the history and what's going to happen but I'm still 100% sold on it because it's got great character development and good writing.  And if the real life guys are bummed, then you know it's probably a little too close to the truth.  Jerry West, god love him, has always been a salty motherfucker so this characterization of him can't be too far from reality.  That's why he's pissed.

I’m starting to read Three Ring Circus by the same author of the Showtime book.   I’m pretty tapped out on all things Shaq/Kobe, but maybe there’s some interesting tidbits about the Lake Show era leading to that first title.

I know there was talks of following Riley in a sequel series based off the Blood in the Garden book about the Knicks (unless Spike Lee decides he wants to do something with that)

Sounds like the Wiz are going to flip CP3 to a contender.

Seems like that’ll happen and go into rebuild mode.… wizards were in a tough spot.. Beal’s no trade clause plus bad contract. Geeze the suns will have zero depth lol splash

Not sure how the Suns can watch their series with the Nuggets and think “you know what we were missing? A high volume scoring guard! Let’s get 4 supermax contracts on the team!”

This thread is slipping.  Not one mention of the Porzingis/Smart move or is it just the East Coast is asleep and didn’t see it?

Also, completely forgot Porzingis is on the Wizards.   Seems like a year late for them to be doing all that they’re doing.   Are they the NBAs most forgettable franchise?

The fuck, didn't see the Celtics trade Smart

This is good for Memphis though, right? When Steven Adams (and Ja) are back that's gonna be a good squad

Porzingis is apparently coming off an excellent season even though I didn't see any of it

Grizz starting two DPOYs could be cool

I thought it was straight up Porzingis for smart… was so confused at first. Washington def going full tank mode…. Kuz opting out.

I think that’s a good move by Memphis. Brooks gone so they go get a better defender..

@exlurker half navy half royal? With Yellow stripes…lol

CP3 to Warriors for Jordan Poole.   Freeing up salary to re-sign Draymond or CP3 stays?

Love draft night, peak theory ballin’.

The Hornets/Blazers stretch will really be a fork in the road moment for the league.

Free Agency Open. LOL @ whoever signs James Harden. Lost count of how many times I saw him pull a Houdini in the playoffs. Philly not extending Maxey. Pretty insane, he’s only going to improve.  Love Maxey

I think it's smart. Keep the kid motivated, I love Maxey too, but we extended Simmons too early.

I'm cool with waiting till next summer. Let's see if he makes another leap. And, honestly..he should want that too. If he makes an All-Star team this year more 💰 for him.

Keep seeing proposed trades of Paul George+ future draft capital+ filler to match salaries for Harden and Tobias Harris…. Maxey taking full PG duties…

We gave Fred VanVleet 43 million a year. More than his fg percentage lol… hey it’s not my money.

Sad, but true.   Hope he makes it to the Spurs and not Miami, though I know that’s not likely

You are. He traded thybulle and the 34th pick for a player he didn’t even resign in FA. Just dumb shit
