They sort or remind me of the Vans running shoes.  They have that synthetic look to them

I wonder how long ago they approached PJ about this whole thing. He hasn't had a shoe sponsor in awhile. Must have paid him well.

It's funny that New Balance can announce this and have at least samples within a month. How long ago did K Swiss start their bullshit?

Come on now, we all know K Swiss got off on the wrong foot.

God, I just re-watched this video right through again. It's like some form of torture.

The perforated toes are pretty hurt looking. I like the simple designs, though. They look alright.

Still not going to buy them.

I had my doubts at first but they actually look pretty good and nice to skate in, I would buy them in the future if they were on sale or something.

Come on.  Just because it was formally announced a month ago doesn't mean this shit hasn't been in the works for a long ass time.

I don't mean to imply that a month ago someone at New Balance thought skate shoes might be a good idea and voila! It's obviously been in the works for awhile. They hammered out a partnership with Black Box, that takes a lot of a lot of thins, time being one of them. It didn't take nearly as long as K Swiss is what I'm saying.

Definitely backing these from what I see, it looks they they are possibly adding something new. I wish they were made in the USA or I hope they offer a couple models in the numeric line that are made here. The 'numeric' thing still bothers me since its an obvious alphanumeric rip off.

The blue and red ones look alright, the rest are kind of bland and boring. I am going to support Lakai or Emerica on my next purchase.

Whats sad is those look better than most skate shoes out right now simply for the fact that they dont look like skate shoes. I think one thing skate shoe companies need to realize is that a lot of skaters dont necessarily want shoes that scream skateboarder, which to me helps explain the sucess of nike, adidas, converse etc. theres some irony on top of irony

Yup.

They look cool and all but id rather buy bryan hermans new shoe than that shit. I was hoping for a more boardfeel friendly 574/576 new balance, not that.

Hmmm I wish they would've used more traditional New Balance color ways...The steel blue 1300, gray 999 and navy/teal 574 come to mind.

look at the very bottom of the page. I think the Chief has figured it out, picture wearing New Balance's and ridding a $LAVE board........
If Nike won skateboarding than has Jamie Thomas won corporation?

I'm still buying Lakais or Emericas
