Irvine Sucks Relaunch
« on: February 02, 2013, 05:06:46 PM »
If anyone ever use to check Irvine-sucks.com back in the day, we relaunched it a couple months ago. Well, Nick P(known as Crokadillicus on slap) deserves the credit for doing all the web work, but we are reposting all of our own vids on a Youtube page and trying to be consistent with content as well as some new contributors. I've been going through all my old archives and posting up raw footage from everyone I've filmed over the years and posting clips daily or every other day. So yay, shameless self plug.

Rich, I should take you up on contributing. I could pull old footage out of the crypt going many years back. Do you remember James Anderson? I have footage of him doing crazy stuff from maybe 2000-2003. Like krook UCI curved 16. If you want to get really iconic with local spots my friend Greg Hanson nollie front noseslid the secret 7 in maybe 2001. I will put this on my mile long list of to-dos.

Edit: Here is the only footage of James Anderson. Though this video came out in 2005 or so, all of his footage was probably 2000-2003. I remember the nollie krook on Parks rail was in 2000 and it was right when Koston did it on Bricktown. He was getting boards from Blind and we thought he was going to blow up but he blew because of staying out until 5am gambling in casinos almost every night.

Hell ya Brett, that would be sick. I love me some old Irvine footage

Edit: Just watched that vid and that was rad. PJ was one of the guys you would hear rumors about and that video confirmed a lot of the tricks people claimed. Glad I got to see that! Makes me miss Hot Skates. Do you have any old Scott Schultz footy? That's another Irvine legend that I've only seen a couple of tricks from and I was sure he was going to blow up.

And I think you might be thinking of someone else. We have made a couple trips up there usually with me, John Demar, Massimo Cavedoni, John Choi and Nick Petrilla so if those names ring a bell then possibly. I think I would've remembered you so maybe it was another crew.

I'm trying to think but nothing is sticking out in my mind. I may have a trick or two of Scotty. Funny thing about him is he was so naturally talented but when we went out to film he would mostly just chill. Then every now and again he would decide it was time to do a trick, would do it in five tries, then go back to chilling. I don't feel like I was ever the one filming when he got a trick. Again, maybe 1 or 2 tricks. That guy is a total mountain man now - I recently saw a picture of him on his brother's IG and he has beard that goes past his neck.
