Funny thing about that Nike shoe recycling program, a tire factory in my city in the middle of the Canadian prairies just signed a contract with Nike to grind up the soles of the old shoes to convert into usable rubber products. Probably not the only place in the world that does it for Nike, but weird that it's here.

Also last week the factory caught fire and it was a really gnarly rubber fire and my friend who is an electrician had to go out there and shut off all the power so it wouldn't explode and breathe in gnarly rubber fumes.

And three years ago some 21 year old kid got sucked into the rubber grinder and I'm sure you can guess how that turned out.

don't know where else to ask this. I kept some insoles out of some SBs (Nike SB Solarsoft Check) and now the left one feels like shit where it should cup my heel. anyone know how to remedy this? might just wear them for a weekend and see if my body weight/foot positioning will "fix" it

Ah gotcha, I don't know much about these things. I just went skating and when I looked back at the site afterwards it just says coming soon. You can no longer even see any of the merchandise.
*edit* it's a raffle and it just opened up

i didn't like this shoe very much. the tongue was weird since it tapers/slims towards the toepanel and is superfat on top. it made the shoe fit very weird. i had the same problem with this shoe like the new superstars. ugly creasing due to a strangely dimensioned tonguepiece and a toebox that is a wee bit too short for my taste. the shoe also lacked significant grip. i remember i wanted to skate them so bad, but they were not that fun to skate in. they ended up as my lawnmowing shoes.

shame because it's one of those that always look good in pics but just has a terrible lookdown factor compared to blazers.

i just found one of my old pairs of this shoe. My parents brought me a box that had these, old emerica Hsu, and old half cabs from the attic or something.
Got em listed on GOAT size 12. No real plans to wear them again for the reasons @Frank mentioned above. They did crease weird.

Yeah I had a couple pair. Great in concept but looked really dumb on the foot. Actually now in retrospect looking at the photo it looks pretty shit too. Wasn't very grippy either if I remember correctly. Like the rubber just wasn't soft enough or something.

They could do an updated version with let's say a Stan Smith shape and it would be a good shoe though.

Yeah those Classics had some of the hardest soles I have ever come across. It sounded like I was wearing dress shoes walking down the hall in high school. Really awful shoes honestly.
