The AJ1 low has had so many different constructions. Here is the og, and personally I think the best looking:

Here is how that colorway looked in 2016. Not bad. The ankle appears to be cut lower but the ankle padding looks comfy and appears nice:



Then you got the jumpman specials that are way off but would probably skate well:



And then Koston's version which seems to have taken padding out of the ankle collar and shrunk the swoosh:



If you look at where the skinny end of the swoosh meets the heel tab on the OG, 2016, and Koston you can see they are all different.

I believe the jumpman specials are based off the 'phat' construction. Can confirm they skate really well, on my second pair now.

The Koston 1 SB low has a longer vamp than the others. I guess it makes them more skate friendly.

I was skating in some regular all white Jordans I chopped down into low tops and loved them so much that I ordered some all white in those new lows with the Jumpman. They felt terrible and just didn't look right. The toe sat up much more thick and square sort of like an Air Force 1. Also I got the weirdest crease marks, they started folding in at the very front of the toes where it met the sole. Looked so cheap that I sent them back.

The Koston 1 SB low has a longer vamp than the others. I guess it makes them more skate friendly.

I had read that about the longer vamp. Whenever I look up vamp the results refer to dress shoes. What is the vamp on this shoe? The top of the toe where the perf holes are?

same ballpark foot size as you but with 1’s they seem to have run roomy in the past so 12 works well and creases normally. It’s a crapshoot with one of those vertical type creases

I think it’s where the top of the shoe ends on the top of your foot. It’s a tad longer in the Koston 1 SB low.

Never had that problem on any of my many Dunks (although they were all from forever ago), and my first pair of Js that I skated. Just the lows, and then I ordered the Mids and it happened too and I sent them back also. Now my brief obsession with Jordan 1s is over. Mine also fit perfectly, they just folded all fucked up.

Lows and Mids Jordan 1 don’t have the best materials. Nike won’t give us the good stuff for $90 for a low and $110 for a mid. Most of them feel like cardboard.

At least the $160 Jordan 1 OG high are decent to skate in, if they are leather, suede or durabuck.
