I went for a walk around my neighborhood in them yesterday. They dug into my heels. Never had that issue with the standard GTs. Hoping they're not that different when I skate them but so far I'm bummed.

the back is indeed more rigid around the collar, and i could see it bugging some people.
it did with me at first, but it was fine after the first session. not nearly as bad as the Chukka XT was.

the higher rubber is a much needed upgrade.
the whole shoe feels more supportive, like your foot is surrounded by the sole rather than just sitting on top of it.
it's also much more durable because fuck, there's just more rubber there.

but it's a huge bummer they took out what little padding that shoe had already.

Yup. I liked that colorway in theory, but had to swap them for the Cyrus Bennett one

I’m usually a size 9.5 but went with a 10 for the Nyjah 2. It’s really light and I went in expecting the comfort and support of the original SB free and was let down.

Digging the ripstop. React should be good too. How much cooler would they be if they were blazers though?
Hopefully they’re not over $80 (probably unlikely) and/or they’ll go on sale (probably also unlikely). Otherwise hard pass.
