Volcano Choir's Repave that came out a few days ago is also really good.

Will drop some knowledge in this thread

Iceage - You're Nothing
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Push The Sky Away
My Bloody Valentine - MBV
Parquet Courts - Light Up Gold (technically a 2012 release but it got a mass reissue this year so yeah)
Gun Outfit - Hard Coming Down
Thee Oh Sees - Floating Coffin
The Men - New Moon
Ty Segall - Sleeper
Baths - Obsidian
Dean Blunt - The Redeemer
The Knife - Shaking The Habitual (take out the 20 minute ambient track and it's a way better album)
Waxahatchee - Cerulean Salt
Phosphorescent - Muchacho
Deafheaven - Sunbather
Raspberry Bulbs - Deformed Worship
No Age - An Object
The Pastels - Slow Summits

The only disappointing albums for me were..... Kurt Vile (it hurts to say because i absolutely love this dude and it's still a pretty album, i just don't think the song lengths were right for his kind of music.
Deerhunter - Monomania (just sounds flat to me)

I was disappointed with the new "Men" album ... except for Supermoon which is one of the coolest songs I've heard in ages. And I really can't stand Deafheaven. All the hype surrounding them is mind blasting.

Baths-obsidian is probably my favorite album this year. The my bloody valentine comeback record was a great surprise as well. Still need to listen to the new boards of Canada.

That Autre ne veut album some people posted about is sick too, the first half especially. Wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

L pierre put out some great stuff this year

Also: tim hecker- virgins, Tera Melos- x ed out, oneohtrix point never-r plus seven, loscil-intervalo, fuck buttons-slow focus, eluvium-nightmare ending, mark templeton-jealous heart, mountains-centralia, Colin Stetson-new history warfare vol.3, Jon Hopkins-immunity

And there's still a new bill Callahan album out this month, and I believe a new mount eerie release is coming later this year
