Romanesco is probably my favorite vegetable if only for the novelty factor, it's like broccoli fractals.

Last summer my girl and I signed up for a farmshare/CSA, I learned that most veggies are great when sauteed with bacon.

The strangest and most gross thing we received was malabar spinach, the leaves are tough and thick and it gets very slimy when cooked without having a good flavor too.

Lastly, to the tomato-haters if you've never had an heirloom tomato, or tomato/basil/mozzarella you can't say you don't like tomatoes.

Everyone saying they don't like onions are missing out.

Onions must go in/on everything. Garlic and shallots in every saut?. Caramelized onions on every meat, save fish. Onions are the most flavorful/versatile vegetable out. I fucking love onions.

Root veggies are awesome. Root veg hash is a great way to switch up the usual "Potato side" with any dish. Butternut and acorn squash, beets, parsnips, ect.

The only vegetable I can think of I'm not into are sweet potatoes. I don't hate them, but I never want them.

Heirloom tomatoes are where it's at, tomatillos are great too. I'm surprised yams have only been mentioned once so far, they are good so many ways.

I'm down with most vegetables, but I really can't stand brussel sprouts... Those things are fucking horrid.

I'm a vegetarian, so I can stomach pretty much any vegetable (and love it too) ... however, corn still isn't a big favourite of mine, ha!

Pooping after eating corn on the cob is always fantastic for a giggle.
