global warming?
« on: December 01, 2006, 10:26:46 PM »
so, what do you guys think?
im 78% sure its not by human causes, and its just natural
i mean, in the 70's they were saying that the world was facing an imminent ice age and that oil was going to run out within 10 or 20 years

Natural or not the human race is contributing to the acceleration.  The weather has been pretty crazy, huh?  Um, maybe we're at fault?  Who knows.

Sorry but to much evidence that it is human caused. You would have to be blind to think otherwise. Big business doesn't care because they will all have money to breath indoor air while the rest of us suffer.

Yep, the evidence is overwhelming. Its not even debated within the scientific community, the same community does know about natural shifts in global climate as well. The people who say global warming is a myth are the same people who don't believe in evolution, they don't care about evidence if it is inconvenient.

As you can see there have been natural cycles in CO2 levels, but they have never been as high as they are now.

He never claimed to have invented or created it. He claimed to have helped pass the bill which funded the military to do so, which is true. It just got heavily spun.

The freakiest thing about L.A. is at night, it doesn't actually get dark. The sky kind of changes to a dark color, but it is not dark at all, and there is a creepy glow in the atmosphere. Really creepy.

well one thing is temperature line isnt as high as previous highs...

the longest existing annual temperature measuring station was at new york, and if i remember correctly the annual average temperature hasnt changed a single rounded degree compared to their stats in 1896 or something

plus the graph here only shows northern hemisphere stats, in southern its actually nothing like that, pretty normal actaully

Loophole have you seen an Inconvenient Truth yet? Because all of your doubts are shredded in that movie. And it is sad the reason why we are so fucked right now is because so many people refuse to believe we have a problem, but of course you can only bury your head in the sand so far.

It is at the point where I think people trying to say it isn't happening are as bad as people who say the holocaust never happened.  Because we are all going to suffer while these nitwits are sitting to the side saying it isn't happening as the ocean water rises around us.
