Moving to Humboldt County
« on: July 30, 2013, 09:16:56 PM »
I'm moving up to the green diamond to finish up skollege. When I visited I found out that there were two skate shops as well as two parks. When I asked one of the guys at the shop about whether or not they ticketed for not having pads/etc, I didn't get a solid answer.

Some of the hills looked fun as shit to bomb.

Any helpful information is welcome.

Thanks.

Only ever visited but I have a friend who lives up there and backs that shop, Ampt. Says its a rad spot. I also went into the skate/surfshop across the street when I visited there when I was younger and they were super nice too so idk really...I'm saying all this assuming you're going to Humboldt State in Arcata? If so, alot of the hills right near campus are fuckin superb!!! So much fun! The one we kept getting hyped on was Union St right by 16th. We just kept walking back up over and over...4 way stop at the bottom so you dont gotta worry too much about cars. I've heard 12th (I think it was 12th) is a good one also. Anyhow have fun up there! Utilize the good weather while you get it up there!
I heard it today, "make money, buy sandwiches".
