Tricks that have been trendy
« on: August 12, 2013, 05:43:46 PM »
What are some tricks that have been trendy? I'm not talking about classics like tre flips or switch heels, but do you think there's any tricks that you saw a lot at one point, then got played out kinda quickly? Here's my list:

Switch front bigspin (around 2003)

kickflip back tail in the late 90's early 200's

nollie inward heel around 2008

impossibles around the time dylan. came out.

What do you guys think?

K grinds ( crookie monster) mid 90's - 2001
Hard flips a few years back - now
Handrail phase 2000-2005
The frontside flip that does the hard flip thingy( I dig it)
Lets face it- creative/basic/fundamental...I love the classics and naturals but the fake/contrived are easy to spot.
Not a hater but yes, style and tricks come and go.

its funny and interesting how tricks come and go... mid 2000s nollie tre and nollie fs flip where everywhere now pretty rare to see one

fs biggies and sw fs biggies have chilled out since being real popular in mid to late 2000s

everyone did bsng pop out in the wenning era but not really atm

what d people think are the hot tricks of the now? concrete transition and diy skating is what i'd say but its hard to quantify and they arent tricks per se

Obama doesn't want you to watch free porn, too much masturbation is slowing the economic recovery

Pole jams were pretty big after that kyle leeper transworld part.
Nollie flip/heel noseslides and crooked were big after apple's really sorry and sorry parts.
I feel like it used to be trendier to balance nosegrinds and pop out on ledges, but now there's a lot of crooked/nosegrind pop outs on rails that has lead to a overcrook more nosegrind pop out (not balancing).

Its seems like every kids does shovits out of lips on ledges these days. I could really like someones footage otherwise but if I see one of those, I automatically erase that person's life out of my consciousness.

Well of course nollie front foot flip (as the ogs call it). Fakie flip is timeless. And I'd have to say after Koston yeah right, 360 flip noseblunt, and bs tail kickflip fakie.

At a bank to wall spot: no comply f/s wallride to blunt powerslide down the bank
